Anna Zagoruiko, born 1968, is an artist of decorative and applied arts, member of the Creative Unit of Artists of Russia, Ethnographic Art Section. She is engaged in wood painting and creates decorative items for interior decoration. In 2013-2014, Anna underwent professional retraining at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, the “Folk Artistic Culture” program.
The works by A. Zagoruiko are not a classic example of any one type of painting. These are rather author's compositions based on folk paintings. The author likes to mix techniques, to look for artistic possibilities of painting, new technologies and solutions. The artist collaborates with the Polenovo Estate Museum, where she regularly participates in small fairs, exhibitions and conducts master classes. Anna Zagoruiko is an active participant in All-Russian and international exhibitions and festivals. Her creative works are kept in private collections in Russia, Germany, Spain, India, USA, and at the V.D. Polenov Fine Arts Museum.
